Valley Humane Society (VHS) is an animal welfare organization located in Pleasanton, serving the TriValley. VHS pulls cats and dogs out of county shelters, provided necessary medical treatments, and placing animals into their forever homes. In addition, VHS provides Humane Education programs to educate youth on the humane ethic, this includes scout specific badge workshops, tours, birthday parties, camps, and junior volunteer programs. VHS also runs one of the largest pet therapy programs and a pet food pantry that is run in collaboration with food kitchens in Pleasanton and Livermore. Valley Humane Society is funded by community grants and private donations. There is no affiliation with the National Humane Society.
