Pleasanton, CA – More than 200 dogs will strut down Main Street for the annual Pooch Parade during Pleasanton’s 1st Wednesday Street Party on August 6th.  The parade route begins on the corner of Neal and Main Streets at 7 p.m.  All pooches are encouraged to gather at Lions Wayside Park in downtown Pleasanton beginning at 5:30 p.m. to enter the parade and be judged in eight different categories including most creative costume and best trick.   For more information visit www.trivalleyguidedogs.org.
Live music will fill the air as three bands play throughout downtown.  At the Entertainment Garden at 530 Main Street, Synaptic Gap will play a variety of alternative rock, jazz and rhythm and blues.  The Not Just Sunday Band will play popular hits of yesterday and today in the 300 block of Main Street.  The GroWiser Band will be rocking St. Mary Street where GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association will display more than 25 classic cars as a preview of their West Coast Nationals Show on August 22-24 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
Main Street will be shut down from 6-9 p.m. for this monthly summer event.  Pedestrians are invited to visit our unique shops and restaurants and walk the middle of Main Street where nearly 200 businesses and community organizations will have booths set up to market their products and services. Then turn onto W.
